XIX)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Desconocemos las fechas de nacimiento y muerte de este grabador setabense del siglo XIX. Sabemos que realiz\u00f3 estudios de dibujo, pintura y grabado en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Val\u00e8ncia, ciudad en la que trabaj\u00f3 en el taller de Carlos Capuz, con el que aprendi\u00f3 a tallar en boj. Ampli\u00f3 sus estudios en Barcelona, Par\u00eds \u2014donde fue disc\u00edpulo del grabador franc\u00e9s Trichon\u2014 y Londres. Se estableci\u00f3, finalmente, en Madrid en donde desarroll\u00f3 una intensa actividad como xil\u00f3grafo en la d\u00e9cada de los sesenta y setenta en revistas como El Museo Universal, La Ilustraci\u00f3n Republicana, La Ilustraci\u00f3n Gallega, La Ilustraci\u00f3n de Madrid, La Ilustraci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola y Americana y Arte de Espa\u00f1a. Colabor\u00f3 como ilustrador en gran cantidad de novelas populares y de costumbres (La plegaria de una madre, Abelardo y Elo\u00edsa, Lucrecia Borja, La mujer ad\u00faltera, Los desheredados, etc.), as\u00ed como en trabajos en aucas, vi\u00f1etas y orlas.
