Estudi\u00f3 dibujo en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Valencia, y en 1871 accedi\u00f3 a la Escuela de Arquitectura de Madrid, obteniendo el t\u00edtulo en 1875. Su trayectoria profesional la empez\u00f3 al lado de Francisco Jare\u00f1o, trabajando en las obras de la Biblioteca y Museo nacionales. En 1881 fue elegido arquitecto del Ayuntamiento de Valencia. Obras suyas en X\u00e0tiva son la finalizaci\u00f3n de la Colegiata, de la cual fue el \u00faltimo director de la f\u00e1brica, entre 1903 y 1922; la capilla del Cementerio Municipal \u2014comenzada por fray Vicente Cuenca y Pardo, aunque modificando sustancialmente el proyecto inicial\u2014 y, en su interior, el sepulcro de Jos\u00e9 Espejo, y los pedestales de los monumentos dedicados al pintor Jos\u00e9 de Ribera y al papa Calixto III. Es autor, as\u00ed mismo, del Matadero Municipal y del Teatro Ruzafa, en Valencia; el Hospital de Alginet, y planes de ensanche de Valencia y Gand\u00eda. Fue acad\u00e9mico y consiliario de la Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de Valencia.
