As\u00ed, protegi\u00f3 la Escuela Nocturna de Adultos, fundada por el abad Jos\u00e9 Pla, y la Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad. Contribuy\u00f3 a la construcci\u00f3n de la actual c\u00fapula de la Seo (hundida la anterior en 1884), la nave lateral de la Colegiata, balaustradas de bronce del presbiterio, \u00e1bside y coro (destruidas durante la Guerra Civil), capilla del cementerio, ensanche de la Glorieta y monumentos al papa Calixto III (existente en la plaza hom\u00f3nima, tambi\u00e9n destruida en la contienda) y a Jos\u00e9 Ribera (plaza del Espa\u00f1oleto).
